Our 12th Annual CACS Symposium, THE GLOBAL SCOPE OF COSMETIC SURGERY, will feature expert speakers from each core specialty.  This meeting will be the largest of its kind in San Diego, California and will be fully instructional and interactive.  We will be joined by fellow members of the American Society of Lipo-Suction Surgery (ASLSS) and the American Academy of  Cosmetic Surgery (AACS), American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (AAFPRS), American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeons (AAO-HNS) and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS). 
 
The California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (CACS) started in 1997 as a state chapter of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS). Dedicated to the advancement of patient care in cosmetic surgery, the CACS represents a multi-disciplinary assembly of physicians and surgeons.  In order to insure optimal patient care, the CACS provides educational and advocacy resources to all interested physicians. As a liaison between the AACS and the California Medical Board (CMB), the CACS has been involved in patient safety issues (e.g. liposuction guidelines), legislative issues (e.g. office surgical suite accreditation), and regulatory processes (e.g. Board Certification equivalency issues). The CACS continues to monitor state legislative activities and foster positive relationships within the government.
 
Featured speakers have been selected from the entire United States and its neighboring countries who represent the "best" and the "brightest" in each of their areas of expertise.  Selected  California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery faculty members will conduct "live" instructional surgery demonstrations at local surgical facilities open to all registered physicians on Monday, October 18, 2010. Early sign-up is recommended.  This conference  is designed to increase your technological awareness and knowledge of all that is new and approved related to surgical manipulation of adipose tissue.  Our CACS Symposium will serve to unite the existing core disciplines of Cosmetic Surgeons in sharing state-of-the-art advances unique to each specialty to create a compelling superstructure of education & knowledge, and to confirm in our alliance our primary dedication to excellence in patient care and safety.  
 
As an added dessert to this professional feast, please join us in celebrating three incredible nights of social events in "America's Finest City."   You will most definitely be "blown-away" at the Hard Rock!  So, come ready to expect the unexpected.
