He completed a Cardiothoracic Surgical Residency in New Jersey while serving with the US Army. In addition, he became board certified in Integrative Medicine, along with many other recognitions and credentials he has accumulated over time. He completed a cosmetic surgical fellowship in La Jolla, CA in 2016.
